Day Care Programmes

"Children are the future leaders of the nation"

“Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”

It is much discussed and promoted by the veteran world leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and John Fitzgerald Kennedy that Children are the valuable resources for better world and for better tomorrow. It is true that holistic development of the children significantly contributes to the personal and community development.

In order to facilitate holistic development certain factors like social, economics, political and cultural dynamics are crucial and essential. Analysing the present context of our nation, the visible fluctuations in these above mentioned factors seriously threaten the sustainability of many families in the rural parts, which takes explicit toll on them. This condition has impact on the nutritional inputs, hygiene and educational aspect of the children particularly the younger children. In this regard, day care programme was conceptualised with the intention that it would facilitate and rectify these imbalance in the proper childcare and development.

This programme has proven to be a time tested concept and has provided valuable data for conceptualising community-oriented programmes as well.
